With the election cycle underway, the Biden administration is increasingly turning to Mexico for help in stemming the flow of illegal migrants crossing the United States. Probably sensing the panic of the Democratic Party, Mexico is taking advantage of the crisis to make a few “ambitious” demands for much-needed assistance.
In a recent meeting in Mexico with Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and Secretary of State Antony Blinken engaged in “preliminary” discussions about increasing aid, officials said 'both governments familiar with the talks. NBC newsbut no “hard promises” were made on either side.
López Obrador, also known as “AMLO”, held a press conference on Friday in which he “asked the United States to approve a plan that would deploy $20 billion to Latin American and Caribbean countries, suspend the blockade of -American in Cuba, would remove all sanctions against Cuba.” Venezuela and grant at least 10 million Hispanics living in the US the right to stay and work legally,” the company reports.

AMLO, said a senior Biden administration official, “has a very ambitious agenda.”
“For some of these things, we would need Congress to act,” the official noted. “We share the vision that we must lift the region.”
But how BizPac Review has reported, the president is facing a lot of pressure from within his own party to get the border disaster under control before the 2024 election amid bipartisan calls for action. The overwhelming number of migrants entering the US, as of August, has eclipsed the number of babies born to our nation's citizens, and progressive mayors and governors have failed miserably in their promises to be “sanctuary” cities “.
Given former President Donald Trump's actions at the border while in office, AMLO's administration would prefer Biden to win a second term. “But Biden is quickly running out of options to fix a problem that is reducing his poll numbers without increasing Mexico's support, three U.S. officials told NBC News,” the outlet reports.
Previous attempts by the Biden administration to slow the spread of migrants, including new asylum policies introduced in May, have been unsuccessful, as the number of crossings and detentions clearly shows. And the two-month-long border security negotiations in Congress have yet to reach a compromise.

If the Biden administration wants to curb what many see as an invasion of America, it needs Mexico to allow the United States to force non-Mexican immigrants back to Mexico.
Until May, under the power of Title 42, a pandemic-era policy that allowed both Trump and Biden to waive asylum controls and turn immigrants back at the border, Mexico “took migrants more than a million times a year for three years,” according to NBC News. “Under current policies, Mexico has agreed to take back 30,000 migrants a month, but that's only 10% of December's total.”
US-Mexico talks are expected to resume in Washington later this month.
The US wants the ALMO nation to do a better job of enforcing its southern border with Guatemala. More of the migrants detained in Mexico must be deported, US negotiators say. Deportation flights of Venezuelans have resumed and are expected to increase this year.
In exchange for its aid, Mexico wants the US to invest more American taxpayer dollars to help Central and South American countries out of poverty. The country, which a senior administration official says is caught in the middle of an American problem, also wants more American financial help to police its borders.
“How about Mexico kicking rocks and deporting all the illegal aliens?” suggested one user on X. “If these people are so productive, Latin American countries can welcome them with open arms.”
How about Mexico get stoned and we deport all the illegal aliens? If these people are so productive, Latin American countries can welcome them back with open arms.

It is a sentiment shared by many.
“Fuck Mexico!” exclaimed another user. “They are nothing but a welfare country killing Americans with their poisonous drugs!!”
“They have been ripping off the American taxpayer for decades! They are far more of an enemy than an ally! We are broke!!” the user got angry. “Excessive checkbook must be taken out of the government's moron.”
It was Mexico!

“You know what? This sending money here and there doesn't work!” said a third user. “The money is being kept and the problems are not being solved! Our government officials are using America and us as a big cash cow! And I'm sick of it!!”
